Before installing and using SEVEN Always-On Mail Internet Edition, please first check the following.
Your mobile device is supported and has the latest software versions installed in it. |
You have a packet data connection, such as GPRS over GSM. |
You have packet data service from your service provider. Please notice - full internet packet data service is required; WAP GPRS connection or similar is insufficient. |
Your operator or reseller of your mobile device allows software installations on the device. In the event that installations are not permitted, please enquire with your operator about the possibility of unlocking the device. |
If you use a Windows Smartphone, a special certificate is required. If you do not have the certificate, the SEVEN Always-On mailbox will not appear on the device. The certificate can be downloaded from our website. Further instructions can also be found on our web site. |
To connect to the Internet, mobile software uses certain settings, called access point settings. Normally these settings are provided by an operator. SEVEN Always-On Mail Internet Edition uses an access point to connect to the Internet. If the installation is done using the phone only (i.e. over the air), both browser and SEVEN Always-On Mail should be configured to use the same access point. However, the installation can also be finished 'manually', filling in the activation code on our web site (http://www.alwaysonmail.com/internet). |
SEVEN Always-On Mail Internet Edition can be used with POP and IMAP email accounts. Many service providers - such as Yahoo and T-Mobile - use s POP or IMAP protocols. However, there are some major services that use proprietary protocols (e.g. Hotmail), which unfortunately is not compatible with SEVEN Always-On Mail. If your company has enabled POP/IMAP on the Domino or Exchange server, SEVEN Always-On Mail can also be used with the corporate email account. |
You should have your email account details available when installing the SEVEN Always-On Mail software including: email address, user name, password, and server name. |
